UKCARC MEETING 3 August, 2003
MEETING CALLED TO ORDER AT 8:28 A.M. BY President Beth Rogers
1. REPORTS OF OFFICERS: Treasurer $793.65 Members present:
AA7PR Dick, KB7LHE Dian, KC7BUC Elmer, Margaret, KD7DGB Jul, Barbara, KD7MDX John, KC7ZUM Ray, KI7AO Bill, N7XCJ Mary Jo, KC7KEM Mike, KB7ZYI Peggy, KB7ZYJ Charles, W7TXU Jim, KB7XQ Bill, WB7TMV Charlie, WA7HNH Jack, KC7ZQD Beth, and N7XEQ Craig.
2. COMMUNICATIONS: The club received a thank you from the Hospice group for the donation in Emmitte’s name. There was discussion about the disposition of Emmitte’s radio equipment. It was decided that the secretary would send out a list via email on what was available.
3. COMMITTEES: It was decided to have an all county club dinner on September 27th. WA7HNH will make reservations with Wendy at the Homestead. The 100 mile race is pretty well set up and they will use WR7KCR for the callsign during the race. Also 145.03 mhz will be used for APRS work during the race. There will be a breakfast meeting on race day at 0830 at Easton Café.
4. OLD BUSINESS: The Runner Stumbles race went well. Whiskey Dick also was a success.
5. NEW BUSINESS: Matt Burrows, Dick and Dian’s grandson, studied, tested, and has a new Technician license. His callsign is KD7WZT. It was moved and seconded to donate $20.00 toward the cost of the ARRL ARES leaders course.
6. MISCELLANEOUS BUSINESS: A work party will be going up to SkyMeadows on Wednesday August 6th to install the new repeater and controller. The Cle Elum Ridge Run will be on Sept 20th. Larry, N7KGS, is doing great. August 16th will be a Red Cross test drill on HF. The Skywarn net is going to start up after Labor Day. It will be Monday through Friday at 1830 hours on Quartz Mountain, 145.27.
