UKCARC MEETING 4 April, 2004
MEETING CALLED TO ORDER AT 8:13 A.M. BY President John Stefani
REPORTS OF OFFICERS: Treasurer $936.05
Members present: W7TXU Jim, KC7ZQD Beth, N7XEQ Craig, KC7KEM Mike, KI7AO Bill, N7XCJ Mary Jo, KC7ZUM Ray, KB7XQ Bill, KD7MDX John, WB7TMV Charlie, and WA7HNH Jack.
COMMUNICATIONS: Don’t forget the weather watcher class at the Senior Center on April 14th. Also there will VE exams in Ellensburg on April 17th. The CWU club station, WA7QMY, is going to be re-activated. W7VP, Bill, will be the trustee. The coordinations for Sky Meadows have arrived. The Ellensburg repeater, 146.72, is working again thanks to Harold’s efforts.
COMMITTEES: Bill, KI7AO, had the first meeting with the Runner Stumbles committee. The race will be on Sunday July 4th this year. Randy, N7YDQ, is going to do the 100 mile race again this year. It will be the last weekend in August. Don’t forget the May 15th all county get together at Ellensburg.
OLD BUSINESS: The EOC project has been delayed until the new phone system is installed.
NEW BUSINESS: On April 24th there will be an eastern Washington SEC conference at Benton City. It was decided on the round robin net to try some CW practice after the morning nets.
MISCELLANEOUS BUSINESS: The Sunday night ARES net is going well. Craig got his tower up and is working on antennas. Jim gave the history of the club gavel (the coal car). Again, thanks to John for the very nice coffe mugs.
The meeting was adjourned at 0844 hours.
