Regional Coordination Assistants, or RCAs, will be entrusted
with the responsibility of:
Working closely with applicants in their
designated region to ensure all W.P.R.C. forms are
filled out completely and correctly.
Assisting applicants in finding
a frequency that may be available for their proposed operation.
RCAs will help by eliminating frequencies that are
obvious denials. The final choices must
be the applicants!
Periodically verifying the
continued operational status of systems within their designated
region.
Verifying the operational status
of systems that are in the initial stages of coordination or have
been reported off the air.
Notifying the Frequency Coordinator
of changes in the operational status of systems in their
region.
Helping to document cases of
interference to or from systems within their region.
Providing technical assistance
(within reason) to trustees if requested by the trustee.
Providing assistance in locating
interfering signals if requested by the trustee.
Informing repeater trustees
of any significant technical problems discovered such as
exceeding W.P.R.C. standards for frequency tolerance or deviation,spurious
transmitters, or poor receiver sensitivity.
Acting as a liaison between
the Frequency Coordinator and repeater trustees in their
designated region.
Assisting repeater trustees
in maintaining their coordination status by encouraging the
submission of call sign changes, or other coordination parameters.
Performing other appropriate duties as requested
by the Frequency Coordinator.
