Born & raised in Northwest U.S.. Attended Whitman & Portland State Colleges prior WWII. Served 4 years in Army Air Corps. Martin B-26 'Marauder' pilot. Shot down over France and incarcerated as POW. After war returned to college and Graduate Univ. of Washington in Electrical Engineering. After graduate studies began career employment of 37 years with Chevron Oil in oilfield operations. Worldwide assignments included 10 years in Alaska and nearly 15 years in Middle East. Retired 1984 from General Manager Field Operations loan position to Arabian American Oil Company (ARAMCO). Current activities: boating, ham radio, and computers. Has cruised extensively throughout the world. Past Commodore Port Ludlow Yacht Club. Past Commodore of Cruising Club of America (CCA), Member Seattle Yacht Club. Member ARRL, Jefferson County (Washington) ARC, and Port Ludlow ARC.
