Icom 751A

The main transceiver is a Kenwood TS-2000X that we purchased in 2001.

The back-up transceiver is an Icom 751A.

We operate the Alpha 76 amp when a control op (usually N5KB) is at the station. The amp easily puts out legal limit but we cut it back to about 500 Watts to ensure that we do not interfere with equipment at the Raytheon facility. The antenna is a Cushcraft R-7000 vertical mounted on top of the aircraft hangar. What is special is that the ground plane (the aircraft hanger) is about 1000 ft long . This is the real reason we are LOUD on 10 Meters.
