I served in Viet Nam from Dec. 1967 thru Dec. 1968. I arrived in Cam Rahn Bay with the 444th. Transit Co. and within two days of arrival I was assigned to the 585th. I remained with the 585th. until I was discharged (Dec. 1968). I delivered ammunition to the Marines and Army. I would drive to Hue, Quang Tri, An Khe, Pleiku just to name a few areas. The 585th. moved to Camp Eagle in Phu Bai (about March '68).

My staff sergeant (who also served as 1st. sergeant as well as I can remeber) was Sgt. Small and a couple of other names that I remember are Blackburn, Copeland, Pyle, Yunk and Jemineze.
