| The evening went without many problems, and was a good test of what we were able to do down to the EOC. We had enough operators to man all of the radios that we needed, as well as a few others to talk with the EOC staff and the Sheriff's department who also had personnel in the EOC bunker. | ||||||||||||||||||

| The HF side of things ran very smoothly until the powers that be decided to change frequency, which caused a bit of confusion to several of the county operators as they scrambled all over the bands to find out what had happened and were everyone went. Besides that event, check-in's and net control operations seem to run smoothly. | ||||||||||||||||||

| This year, there has been a big interest in the software package called APRS, in the Waldo county areas well as all over the state. We were lucky enough to have the free tnc to get the software running at the EOC headquarters. Utilizing APRS, we were able to plot traffic on the map from several other stations, including our remote relay stations that were located at the local Hospital here in Belfast. | ||||||||||||||||||

| Thank you all who took part in the Y2K exercise. It was a good
event, and I all think we learned a lot from it. Now to plan for
the next big deal!
