Welcome to the on-line home of N1TN, the Waldo County Amateur radio club. We are a club that supports the greater Belfast area and Waldo County ham community. Our interests range from CW - ARES - APRS - Satellites - DX'ing - EME - Rag chewing. We have a very diverse group of operators to say the least, and we all love those great bargains that you can find at the various hamfests around the state!
Meetings:
We meet the first Monday of the month. Our meetings are located in the EOC meeting room of the Waldo County Sheriff's office. Meetings start promptly at 7 pm and our training session starts at 7:45 after a light break.
Ham radio in the movies! Frequency

Our January training session was done by local VHF'er, Bill - K1DY who gave a slide show about his EME expedition to South America.

Hello.. I am new to the Belfast area, and I have an interest in amateur radio.. What should I do?

By all means, come to one of our meetings held monthly on Monday nights at the EOC. We start at 7 pm, with a training session after, it is a great way to meet your fellow amateurs in the community, plus learn some new information about the many facets of ham radio!

The ARRL has begun premoting a new TV campaign for ham radio targeting the teenage population. The Public Service Announcement is designed for local television stations to rebroadcast, however a Quicktime version is also available off the web. You can watch it here if you have Quicktime 4.x installed on your system.

The 147.270 repeater is currently up and working. If you are in the greater Belfast area give it a try, we would be more than happy to hear from you.
