Hawaii I enjoy traveling. I have been to Hawaii
a couple of times. I first went in the summer of 1996. I liked it so much I
went again in the summer of 1999. I went to Oahu both times. The last time I
went I flew over to the big island of Hawaii for a one-day circle island tour.
I got to see the volcanoes with that one. The Big Island sure was impressive. I
have stayed across the street from Waikiki Beach both times. It is a great
place to people watch. You see it all in Waikiki. I plan on getting some
pictures up as soon as I get them scanned. Take a tour of Pearl Harbor, don't
drive up there on your own. The tours aren't that expensive and you get a lot
of history from your guide that you won't get otherwise. Rent a car
(convertible) and make a circle of the island. It is a pretty drive and you can
go at your own pace. If you get out of the car lock it and don't leave anything
valuable in it. There are thieves, even in paradise.
Florida I really enjoy Treasure Island. It is
across the causeway from St. Petersburg. The weather is still pretty nice after
New Years. I went down two years in a row after Christmas. A lot of the hotels
are oceanfront and give a very nice view of the Gulf. Golfing down there is
very good, with a lot of courses to choose from.
