    What a thrill it is to send out a call, and get a response from thousands of miles away! Sometimes it is a real challenge to find somebody in the part of the world you're trying to reach. The American Radio Relay League gives certificates as awards to hams who have Worked All States (WAS), Worked All Continents (WAC),  or worked at least 100 different countries (DXCC). There are many other awards for various achievements, and many hams work diligently at all hours of the day and night to reach these exciting goals.

    My best contact was actually "out of this world," and before I entered the Amateur Radio hobby. The Creator of the Universe had been calling to me, wishing to enrich my life through His Son Jesus Christ.  At age fifteen I answered His call.  It was the beginning of a relationship that has given me satisfaction for 35 years now!

   I can testify from personal experience that Jesus Christ can satisfy the deepest needs in the life of a teenager. He can transform your life, and give you something worth living for. By following Him, I was in the right place at the right time to meet the lovely girl, Crystal Dawn, who has been my precious wife since 1969.

    Through the years of raising children, and now as grandparents, we give God the praise for His faithfulness. My life has been very fulfilling as a parent, pilot, flight instructor, Christian educator, missionary in Papua New Guinea, and preacher.  I know that without Him I can do nothing. "In Him we live and more and exist."  (Acts 17: 28)   I recommend Jesus to you! 

"I am not ashamed of the Gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God unto salvation for everyone who believes."   (Romans 1: 16) He is by far the best contact I've ever made.
