COLLINS RADIO REPAIR

Dutch Maurer : WB7DYW

I have been around HAM radio all my life, my father was a HAM and I had a few family members that were Ham's, I built my first transmitter when I was 12 and got out for a while then got back in, in the 80's. I enjoy collecting and restoring Collins radios, I have been servicing Collins “S” line radios for many years, I repair and restore them, I am also looking for parts rigs…

My son is a NAVY Man and shares my interest in radio assisting in every aspect, On July 20 2001 Mark went on active duty with the navy and shipped out to the USS Miami a fast attack nuclear sub. The Navy web-site will give you an idea of what basic training is like.

If your REALLY interested in Boat Anchors there are some links to great sites and information here. I have designed and built a HAM Shack to suit my needs at a meager 480Sq or 16'X30' Feet that can be reviewed and critiqued at this link which shows the progress of it's costruction and occupancy.
Saving the
