I've lived in Lakeside or there-abouts for 35 years. Lakeside is in San Diego County, about 20 miles northeast of the Pacific Ocean and 25 miles north-northeast of the Mexican border. Lakeside is an urban wanna-be horse town and I have a "spread" located a few miles outside of town, out in the weeds where you can still hear the coyotes howl at night and occasionally see one.
