[SI-LIST] : Connection of different ground

I am currently designing a board which requires both video analog circuitry(this includes ADCs and DACs) and digital controller circuitry. I plan to split from the same power lines (coming from the connectors)two power planes, analog and digital power. What i am not so sure now is the connection of the ground. Since at the connector side there is only one ground, how should i allocate the ground on the board ? Do i split the ground plane according to digital and analog plane and join them near the connector?
