I was wondering if there was anyone who had experienced problems
with differential signalling when one implementation transitions to
another. For example, assume the target is 100 ohms differential.
The backplane implements an edge coupled pair with individual trace
to ground impedance of 70 ohms and 100 ohms diff, but the daughter
card implements two traces with 50 ohms to ground on opposite sides
of the the ground plane (once again, 100 ohms diff), is this a signal
quality problem waiting to happen?
