We use Netcom's Smartbits. This is a box that connects to a PC and accepts
its own different network interface boards. Smartbits gives you pretty
tight control over the packets you transmit with it and has counters and
triggers to analyze data that it receives.

Hope this helps.

Can anyone recommend an analyzer for 10/100 Ethernet, software for Windows,
or hardware stand alone, that can provide Bit Error Rate, or other link
status that could be used to debug a performance problem with a 10/100
design?
