Mike,

The first example I can think about is a sphere in a plane wave.

Subject: [SI-LIST] : More Help

Hi folks! Thanks to all those responding to my question on board
geometries. It worked so well I now have another question to present.

I'm looking for 2D and 3D electrical modeling cases that can serve as
standards. That is, they have a closed form solution, or solvable through
conformal mapping, or have been solved by so many experts that the solution
can serve as a standard. The cases I am aware of are for two round wires, a
round wire above a plane, and round coaxial conductors for 2D. I'm not
aware of anything for 3D (looking for plane and trace inductance with two
ports or more).

Again, any help is appreciated.

Best regards,

Mike Lamson
