Hi Michael,

I have followed the HSPICE Manual (I use HSPICE 2000.2 for WinNT) and tried
to perform a simulation using an IBIS model of a differential driver but I
wasn't successful. I get the following error message:

  ** error** iob_eles2:9023:
can not find max value for rising ramp
     i,v_ot,v_oto,vrl,vrlo 0 0.0000E+00 0.0000E+00 -8.4400E-01
0.0000E+00

which I cannot understand what causes it. The same IBIS model works fine in
Cadence's SpecctraQuest.

Anybody knows what is the problem here?

Thanks.

Hassan

Hi Perry,

Hopefully this will lead you in the right direction.

1. Can I do mixed simulation with HSPICE by using both SPICE models and
IBIS
models for my driver/reciever pair ?

Yes, Chapter 20 in the Avanticorp manual (Using Ibis models) should get
you started.
