Hi SI'ers,
I'm implementing Cu Fibre Channel at 1.0625 Gbuad with growth to 2 Gbaud.
My team is adapting some very high density connectors and I'm concerned
about interpair crosstalk. I'm building a BER test setup so I can assess
the impact of the crosstalk on jitter/BER, but I was hoping to find some
guidelines. Can anyone point me toward a spec. that suggests crosstalk
limits between pairs in FC connectors? I thought I had seen one somewhere,
but I can't seem to relocate it. We have folks who are proceeding with
connectors that have more than -20db crosstalk and I'm concerned this may
be a serious liability later if our links have a lot of other jitter
sources.
I also posted this to the T11.2 mail list/reflector.
Thanks,
Brad Henson, Raytheon Systems Co.
