As a result of the recent flurry of interest in forming
IEEE SI Chapters as expressed by many on the list,
the concept has been posed to the powers that be.
I've been advised that as the result of our initial request
things are being done in the background towards the official
creation of some sort of IEEE SI organization.
It is possible that an official notification of action may be
forthcoming within the next couple of weeks.
So for the time being there is no further need for "me too",
or "how about a chapter in Outer Mongolia ?" type messages.
Let's let the wheels of the organization turn and see what emerges.
