In my opinion the best way to verify an IBIS model, in addition to
the manual checks and parser checks, perform accurate bench correlation. A
group of engineers from various companies created The IBIS Accuracy Spec.
This Specification is intended to be a quantitative method for model
creators (often semiconductor vendors) to verify any correlation work
performed on a model and document that correlation work in a consistent
manner. The spec a test board design and associated documentation is
available free on the IBIS web site.

If we could get model creators to utilize this spec it would reduce the
burden on end IBIS model users from having to verify every IBIS model they
obtain.
