Jonathan:

A ribbon cable is pretty easy to generate your own model for using a field
solver such as the one that comes with HSPICE. Other 2-d field solvers
should be as easy to use for this situation. All you need to know is your
geometry and the dielectric constant of the insulation and how to use the
field solver.

Simple single line to complicated multi-line onnector models are available
for most of the TYCO (formerly AMP) connector family. All you have to do is
phone or e-mail your local rep. Other connector vendors usually also have
models available but sometimes it is more painful to obtain them and/or use
them.

Dennis: You might try George Hare at 3M in Austin, Texas or Zane
Daggett at
        Hitachi Cable in Manchester, NH.

Subject: [SI-LIST] : ribbon cable models

Does anyone know where I can get ribbon cable models for the cheap
ribbon
cables that are used for ATA interconnect? these can be single ended
models
but I would want crosstalk terms. I would also need connector models
if
        available anywhere

        Thanks

        Dennis
