I know that this has been a topic of discussion previously on the list,
however, I have been unable to locate any such discussion in the archive
which only dates back to Oct. 1999. If there is a way to view older
archives I may be able to dig up the information myself.

I am currently evaluating signal integrity tool solutions for high speed PCB
design. While I have done some high speed design, up to this point I have
had limited experience with using software simulation to identify and solve
SI related problems prior to layout. I guess we still doing things the
"old-fashion" (i.e. multiple board revisions and lots of prototyping) way
with mixed results. I am would like to identify all available SI software
tools, and I would be interested to get any feedback on the capabilities and
limitations of any of these tools which you may be willing to share. Thanks
in advance for your assistance.
