It's a philosophical issue, I guess. I spent many years developing
and supporting analog circuit simulators both as an individual
contributor and as a group manager, and my feeling is that, if
you have a model in a simulator, you either should support it or
remove it from the simulator. The failure mode that Arpad mentioned
and the response from Avant! made it sound like they know there are
problems with the U model, but couldn't be bothered to look into it.
That attitude offends me, is all.
