All,

I am trying to get a web site set up to handle the downloads. So
far I have tried Yahoo's "geocities" site but they do not handle
power point format. If somebody could suggest an alternative site
I would be happy to place it there. In the meantime I am willing
to email copies of the presentation to anyone who sends me an
email.
Regards,

Jim Foppiano

P.S. If you have any questions about the presentation I would be
happy to answer them as well.

Rick and Tarek:

This is just a tip for those still using Office95 PowerPoint, but (if
applicable) it may solve the reported download and startup problems.

IF (big "if") the imaps presentation is in Office95 format, ZIP the file.
My
10MB to 12MB .ppt files were reduced to ~220KB, which is easily handled by
the various E-mail systems. Once transmitted, UNZIP, then open the file in
Office97, then save it TO A DIFFERENT NAME in Office97 format. Office97
compresses the file on the fly... perhaps as much as 5:1 over the Office95
format when there are many illustrations embedded. If you don't save it to
a
different name, Office97 creates an internal backup of the previous version
to retain a history file; hence, it may even be bigger than the original
file.

Conversely, Tarek, if it is an Office95 file, you could do the conversion to

Office97 format on your site to accomplish the same effect. Then downloads
would be much quicker.
