You might refer to my column on Differential Impedance
where the formulas and relationships are derived in a way
that is understandable! It is in the August issue of PC
Design Magazine, p.34 and is reprinted on our web site
in .pdf format:
http://www.ultracad.com

National Semiconductor publishes formulas for calculating
differential impedance --- the formulas and sources are in
the article.

Polar has just released a calculator that is the only one
I know of that will calculate differential impedance for
edge wise coupling, vertical coupling, and offset coupling.
It is available for download at
www.polar.co.uk/calc.htm
That is the good news! The bad news is they want approx
$500 (US) to enable the differential portion of the
calculator!

Good luck
