In _Printed Circuit Board Design Techniquesfor EMC COmpliance_ by Mark
Montrose, he says to use oscillators for frequencies above 5 MHz. I
assume he means use an oscillator as opposed to a crystal and external
amplifier and driver. In the case of a part that allows for the
connection of a TTL/CMOS level clock or a crystal (e.g., most clock
synthesizers), I would assume that a crystal would radiate less than
an oscillator. Has anyone done any comparisons?
