This issue has been discussed at length on this email list. It was
decided that headhunters could be shot on sight, but a signal
integrity engineer looking for help should be tolerated. Although I'm
not involved in the administration of this list anymore, I am one of
the founders and Steve's message is in line with our intent for the
email list. I found my current job by means of a message very similar
to Steve's. If Steve weren't in Massachusetts, I would probably
respond to him. We're all sorry if you don't like this, but some of
us welcome the occasional hot prospect and the signal to noise ratio
on this list is still very high!
