Mayo Medical Center in Rochester, MN currently has a Software
Engineer/Senior Software Engineer position available in the Special
Purpose Processor Development Group within the section of Physiology and
Biophysics.

The position requires a bachelor's or master's degree in electrical
engineering or physics with an emphasis on mathematics and numerical
programming. Experience with electromagnetic modeling theory and
practice, with specific emphasis on guided wave problems, is required.
The successful candidate must also have excellent oral and written
communication skills. Experience with object oriented design and UNIX
and/or Windows NT software development environments is also desirable.

The software engineer will design and implement electromagnetic modeling
computer aided design (CAD) software, including new tools and
maintenance of existing code base. They will work with both locally and
externally developed software and will provide end user support for
utilization of software tools and/or technology libraries to facilitate
design engineering. They will follow established software design,
development, and test methodologies. They will also be expected to
write proposals and prepare reports and papers, requiring direct
interface with collaborators and government funding sponsors.
