Desired Education: BSEE, or equivalent (MSEE preferred).

Requirements 4-5 years of relevant industry experience required.
Experience with Gigabit Ethernet or Fiber Channel
technologies highly desirable. Some knowledge of
IO circuits, transmission line and high speed
interconnects, Verilog and/or VHDL and synthesis
desirable. Hands-on lab experience also desirable.
Knowledge of Spice, C, Perl, Unix desirable.

Description The main responsibilities of this position are to
validate LSI's gigabit serial interface cores,
through exhaustive characterization and testing,
and to support its usage by the customers and the
field design engineers. Duties include physical
design of testboards, characterization of gigabit
interface testchips; and creation of application
notes related to the usage of the gigabit interface
cores. Support for physical design, logic design
and implementation to field design engineers and
customers is also needed. This position involves
presenting LSI's gigabit interface cores to
customers, and evaluating the feasibility of
customer designs to ensure working silicon.
