Though I agree that timing parameters are important to good static
timing, I believe that accurate pin specific package parasitics can have
an equal effect on timing. For instance, I have seen packages where the
inductance on pins ranges from 5nh to 15nh. This can cause a >1ns
difference in delay times just getting off the package.
