The subject of Differential Transmission Lines has come up several times on the
SI-LIST. The February 25, 1999 EDTN (E-mail)
newsletter mentions http://www.edtn.com//analog/tn025.htm "A Different
Look at Differential Impedance", by James Mears of National Semiconductor.
This article has the clearest explanation I have seen of differential
transmission lines-- especially how using them for digital signals differs from
using them for analog (radio-frequency) signals. The end of the article
mentions a RAPIDESIGNER transmission-line slide-rule that is available free from
National Semiconductor, along with Application Note AN-905 on how to use it.

... feel free to forward this copy of the EDTN
Network's Electronics Alert! to your colleagues so they can see why they,
too, should register for EDTN.
