Yes, certainly is possible. Depending on the variety of spice you
are using it can range from very easy to requiring just a little work.
Using Hspice or Pspice you need to define a prbs generator by
building an appropriate LFSR (linear feedback shift register) with
the correct feedback taps connected for the PRBS length you want
to use. Utilize the output of your PRBS generator to drive your
circuit. Then you need to set up your viewing tool (Probe for pspice,
Awaves for hspice) properly to display an eye diagram. (Repetive traces
need to be superimposed over each other). If you are using Apsim Spice,
generating eye-diagrams is almost automatic. There is a way to automatically
generate PRBS patterns and the viewing facility has a button that automatically
configures things properly for eye-diagram generation.
