Elias,

In addition to the good suggestions already posted, check the propagation
delay of your transmission line - no matter what you set the timestep to,
HSPICE will set the time step to half the length of the transmission line.
If the line's propagation delay is 200 ps (corresponding to one inch or so
of PCB trace), you get a step size of 100 ps, like it or not. In that
case, the solution may be to use a longer transmission line.
