I Remember:

Working with Intel’s First uP, the 4004

Rooms full of drafting tables.

Before Word, secretaries typed my documents.

Before uP’s, there was TTL logic processor designs.

My boss juggling my charge numbers (Shhhhh!).

Those old army green surplus metal desks.

1/4 watt resistors were the smallest size made.

Tektronix 545 scopes with the huge plug-ins.

Fixing torn paper tapes and punch cards.

Rows of lights and switches on computer front panels.

Fortran and Cobol were the only languages taught in school.

My first electronics project was a crystal radio with "cat wiskers".

Bishop Graphics made circuit board tapes and patterns.
