The SPA Amateur Radio Association owns and sponsors the
146.880(-) Repeater in Hot Springs National Park, Arkansas. The repeater is located atop St. Joseph's Mercy Health Center in the south-central part of town. The repeater consists of a GE Mastr II radio, DB Products duplexers, Micro Computer Concepts RC-1000 Controller and Hustler G-7 antenna. The repeater power supply is connected to the hospital's emergency generators, guaranteeing continuous operation.
(Repeater is now on
146.880 due to the discontinued use by the HSARC and relinquishment of the
frequency. The HSARC members wished the frequency to remain in use in Hot
Springs due to it's long history and were able to switch from 145.150, as it was
coordinated to another group.)
