My name is Jesse, QTH is Arabi, La, about 8 miles down the Mississippi River from the center of New Orleans. I mostly operate CW on HF and like VHF/UHF FM while driving around town.

Heathkit HW-101

This is my HF radio from the late 70's and early 80's.

Don't laugh but i'm still using the SWR meter next to the speaker

CURRENT SHACK SETUP

Current Rigs

As you can see, I've upgraded some if my equipment.

The IC-706MKIIG is new and is currently replacing my TS-440s(which is sick). The HTX-100 is the only HF rig I own that I use for SSB, 25 watts, a homebrew "hamstick" screwed to the side of the patio and I've literally worked the world with it. Notice the collection of Fast Food toys, my 10 year old's gifts. The MFJ-941B tuner turned 25 this year.

I have a fix for the Vibroplex Vibrokeyer to keep it from sliding all over the table when I slap it around. I'll post this in my "Homebrew" section.

THE ANTENNA FARM

Some shots of the back yard antenna farm.

Multi-band Dipole
This is my homebrew multiband dipole. It covers 40/30/20/10/6 meters. I made it out of 14 ga. THHN solid wire, 1/2" PVC for the insulators and plastic coathangers for the element spacers. (a true Home Depot (c) special)

I call it my "AIR COOLED WIRE DUMMY LOAD".

Thanks for stoping by. 73 de Jesse.
