Welcome to my QTH in beautiful East Central Florida!!!

First licensed on February 9,1971 (WN2TAW); became WN4OMM in 1975, WB4OMM in 1976.

THE SHACK OPERATING POSITION THE WORKBENCH NOV SS CUPS

My station is a Yaesu FT-767GX HF/VHF/UHF Transceiver and FL-7000 Solid State 600W Amplifier to a280' loop anteanna@ 45 feet - totally computer controlled. I use the LOGic logging program (with the built-in MixW interface and RigBlaster Plus for digital modes) and it controls everthing from logging, looking up, and adding the QSO information from the rig and license databases (it's defaulted to the QRZ.COM lookup - when we QSO I can see you too!). The FL-7000 amp is also interfaced to the rig, and I can run 600W to the antenna system with the flip of a switch. I can also run 160W on 2M VHF All Modes (Kenwood TR-700A) and have a dedicated 2M 75W Yaesu FT-2900 with a Ringo Ranger II at 35 feet. I'm in my new "dog house" (ham shack) - a 10x14 exterior building fully insulated and finished, with 100A service, A/C (yeah, it gets hot in Florida!), fully equipped workbench, and more - including a complete internet enabled weather station and ShackCam!!!

Log onto www.wunderground.com , search for KFLPORTO14 in the Personal Weather Stations (temporarily down for linking changes), and see what the WX is at the QTH!

Log onto http://www.livestream.com/wb4ommshackcam and take a look a me operating in the shack live! (Activated when I'm inthere....!)

More to come, including antenna tower/beams in the planning stages. Covered Front Porch too (wtih a rocking chair of course, for us old retired guys!!). Look for more photos!

I work all bands/modes, from 160M to 2M, SSB, CW, Digital (PSK31, RTTY, SSTV), AM, FM, and I QSL 100% via LoTW, eQSL, Bureau, and of course direct cheeky !!!! I work most of the major contests throughout the year if I can. I upload my logs usually the same day. I mail hard cards weekly (usually Monday morning via snail mail).
