Amateur Radio WB3GCK YATT2 -
Yet Another Tuna Tin 2

Craig LaBarge, WB3GCK

Ever since Doug DeMaw published the original Tuna Tin 2 design in 1976, QRPers have been fascinated with this little transmitter. However, over the past few years, its popularity has really taken off. There must have been thousands of these little guys built by QRPers over the years.

Pictured at right is one that I built from a NJQRP kit that I won as a door prize at an Eastern Pennsylvania QRP Club meeting. I built it completely stock. It puts out about 350 mW on 40 meters when powered by a 13.8 volt power supply.

So, for what it's worth, here's my copy of this nostalgic little transmitter.
