First Licensed in 1969 as WN2LNB, then WN2JLM in 1973, I passed the General in 1974 and the Advanced in 1976. I later in life decided that I had better get my code speed back up and get the Extra over with before I forgot all I ever knew. So I studied hard, got the code speed back up and passed the Extra in 1990!
My parents are Dolores aka DR (W2EWO and WN2EWO ) and Bob aka RJ (W2VDX). They met on 160 Meters in 1952, in the Hudson River Valley of New York. Rumors have it that RJ wanted the Hammerland 129X and what ever that other thing was called that my mom had for a transmitter as his stuff was and still is all homebrew! RJ was licensed in 1947 and DR in 1951!
My brothers and sisters have been hams, for a long time too. Ted (WN3F, previously WA2QXA) was licensed at age 11. He got his extra class in 1991. Elaine (WA2JFP previously WN2QXL) was licensed in 1970, Chris (N8RHA, previously KA2BWJ) was licensed in 1978. Alicia (KB2VPV) finally bit the bullet in 1995!
