The above graphic shows the current "solar wind" conditions in the upper atmosphere.  Without going into too much detail, if the arrows are in the "green", then conditions are not degraded due to a CME. This is a (reasonably) current image of the sun showing any sunspots (or lack there of).  It is presented for informational purposes and not as an aid to propagation.
