I have held the call WBØWAO since 1976 and have been active most of that time with some breaks. I have worked weak signal VHF/UHF, Satellites, HF DX and QRP HF. Currently I am mainly interested in HF QRP operation using CW and learning all about Software Defined Radio as it will pertain to the QRP operator. My "day job" is managing several hotels in the Southeast Missouri/Southern Illinois/Western Kentucky area. As such, my time can be somewhat limited - but I will try and be as active as I can. The above numbers are membership numbers in various organizations that I have. Most are QRP/CW related, but there a a couple from my days operating other bands/modes.
Operating Position
Here is the current operating position at my apartment in Cape Girardeau. At the time this photo was taken, the station was not 100% QRV (awaiting the antenna tuner.
Once things are finished, I will repost the final picture.
Here is my sophisticated antenna array inside the apartment.
It is a full size 20m/40m "fan dipole" that goes around the living room and kitchen area.
