Web Page of NØQP

Effective April 18, 2006 I was granted a new call sign NØQP. I held WNØMBI for about a year. I then held WBØMBI from 1975 to 2006. I went back on the air on 11/0/01 after a long period of inactivity. I have a grounded Butternut Vertical. I am working on my CW Skills and am now doing a little PSK. You will find me participating in Contests of all kinds, not as a serious participant, but to help out the die hards when things start to slow down for them. My station is a Yaesu FT-920 and a YAESU FT-857. I am a member of FISTS [#9321], SKCC # 945. I also am a member of ARRL.

My QTH is Ottumwa, Iowa which is about 80 miles Southeast of Des Moines, Iowa, and about 250 miles Northwest of St Louis and 200 Northeast of Kansas City. I am located in Grid EN31tb.

I live on a small city lot so my antenna options are limited. I have experimented with the "all" band dipoles, but find my grounded vertical does the best job overall.

Here is my email address. I have entered five characters in front of my email address to attempt to foil email harvesters. [email protected]
