WA9WFA Classic Ham Radio

Welcome to my WA9WFA Classic Amateur Radio web site.  I was licensed in 1967 and my first radio was a Knight Kit T-60 transmitter and National NC-183 receiver.  Fast forward to 1995 , I was bit with the tube bug and fell back in love with classic tube transmitters and receivers from my Novice days.   These old radio's are a pleasure to own and operate, and they let me recapture some of the excitement of my ham radio youth.  In retirement, my interest is in building radios.  I've built a 13 tube Ted Crosby HBR-13 dual conversion ham receiver from QST May 1965, a 3 tube Novice receiver called "The Mate for the Mighty Midget" from QST April 1966, and I'm currently building the W1DX HB-67 superheterodyne receiver from the 1967 ARRL Handbook.   Enjoy the photo's and the walk down memory lane. 73, Scott WA9WFA
