Scholarships
Over the past several years the radio club has offered $500.00 or $1000 scholarships
through theFoundation for Amateur Radio (FAR). To see a list of the past winners

The South Milwaukee ARC scholarship is offered to any licensed ham from the 9th
call district toward any full degree in the electronic industry; preference is given to those
hams from Wisconsin but amateurs from Wisconsin, Illinois, & Indiana are qualified.
Additional information and an application form for the current school year may
be requested
by letter or QSL, (deadline is April 15th each year), from :

The FAR,a non-profit orginization with headquarters in Washington, D.C.
administers over
54 scholarships for licensed Radio Amateurs. This foundation is
composed of over 28 Amateur
Clubs,and funds 10 of these scholarships itself.
The awards range from $500 to $5000 with
certain preferences given in some cases.
