The Opequon Radio Society meets the last Thursday
Of each
month at 7:30 PM EST in the Fred Schlichting Amateur Radio
Clubhouse, Located next to the Post Theatre at the
VA Medical Center, Martinsburg, WV.
Visitors and anyone interested in Amateur Radio are Welcome.
The Opequon Radio Society holds its ARES net
every Monday
at 8:00 PM EST on the Club Repeater.
all Amateurs are welcome and encouraged to Check-In,
The Club owns and Maintains the K8SDG Repeater
located
on North Mountain 5 miles west of Martinsburg, WV,
145.150 Mhz PL 179.9
The K8SDG Repeater System is also linked 24 hrs a day 7 days
a week to the N3EJT Repeater located in Thurmont, MD,
147.195 Mhz PL 179.9

The Opequon Radio Society also owns and operates
three packet
nodes located at the North Mountain repeater site.

The Club packet BBS has a Primary and a Secondary.
The Primary BBS is owned and operated by Jimmie
K8SDG
located in Martinsburg, WV, Designated as the
ORSBBS - K8SDG-1
it implements the F6FBB software and G8BPQ Nodeware.
The Secondary BBS is owned and operated by Justin KE4PCX
located in Vanvil, WV, Designated as the VANBBS - KE4PCX-1
this system also implements the F6FBB Software and G8BPQ Nodeware.
This system is capable of handling the full capacity as well as any Overload
in the event of a true Emergency or should the K8SDG-1 System fail.
