My first experiences with ham radio was listening to my uncle talking to his many friends on the air.  He was Mansel Wilson former W5YIU sk.  That started my interest, and in about 1963 I obtained my novice ticket as WN5MOI.  I enjoyed working cw for the year.  At the end of the year I took my Technician exam.  I worked 6 meter am and two meter fm.  For some reason (probably no money) I let my ticket expire at the end of this first five year term.  Several years ago a friend got me interested again. I took the test and was licensed as KD5QQO and immediately put in my vanity application for my old call.  My current interests are 2 meter packet and fm and hf ssb
