Transmitter Hunt

Transmitter hunts are normally held the Sunday after the third Wednesday of the month unless it interferes with other events, such as Hamfests, etc.

Meeting place is the parking lot of Belgian Waffle House, 721 J.Clyde Morris Blvd, Newport News, Va.

Meeting time is 2:00 P.M., getting underway at 2:30 P.M.

Boundaries:

  • Boundary is James river on the West.
  • Mercury Blvd to I-64 on the South.
  • East is I-64 north to Magruder Blvd,
  • North on Magruder Blvd to Route 134.
  • North on Route 134 to Route 17.
  • North on Route 17 to Denbigh Blvd.
  • North is Denbigh Blvd to Warwick River @ Boat ramp.

Rating is done by minimum number of miles driven from starting point.

Frequency is 146.565

All are welcome, Hams and non hams (scanners work) Novice to Veteran Hunters.
