Our Purpose is to Promote Amateur Radio in Central Maine Area

 

The Waterville Area Wireless Association was founded in 1957. The club was reorganized in 1994. Today the club has a membership of more than 20. Who are amateur radio operators in the Central Maine Area.

WAWA has monthly meetings, fox hunts, special events, projects and discussions which can include various participants.

WAWA also participates in ARRL Field Day each year. 

WAWA’s membership is made of a diversity of ham radio operators, from Technicians to Extra Class. The interests of club members include, all bands, modes, and activities. 

The Club also offers help with installing and removing antennas. Help in answering questions from both experienced and inexperienced members and would be members.

 

This is the historic Two Cent Bridge for pedestrians in Waterville/Winslow Maine. That crosses the Kennebec River with a span of 400 feet (122 M). The opening date was in 1903.
