Yes, folks, here I am at the trusty
FT-747. Note the Heath HM-102 SWR/Wattmeter, setting the standard
for accurate RF sampling! The Bencher paddle sits atop the 747, right
where I can get to it in case I am lost at sea and the raft is sinking and
I make a CW rig out of paperclips, bubble gum, and the filling from a
tooth (which acts as a detector), and I am saved just in the nick of time
because I am able to send a Morse message to a kid in Peoria who relays
news of my plight to the Air Force and Coast Guard and the Marines, too,
for good measure. Yes, folks, that's why I keep my paddle right there! And
you should, too. Note my giant peanut butter jar of crayons, ideal
for logging in rainbow colors! |
