Turkey
Island DX Club takes its name from this tiny island. The club was
founded in
1987
when a group of ham operators hauled radio gear, antennas, and a generator
to
the
island by boat to operate portable during ARRL Field Day.*
Today, Turkey Island DX Club members are active DX and contest enthusiasts. TIDXC operates station WAØDX, publishes a club newsletter, and is affiliated with the American Radio Relay League.
